Deegan Bean Memorial Scholarship
Deegan Spencer Beane, age 17, born May 30, 2004, was a senior at West Carter High School in Olive Hill, KY. Deegan went on to his Heavenly home on January 18, 2022.
He was a very well-liked and driven young man with goals to pursue a degree in structural engineering and to become a carpenter. Deegan always loved carpentry class in vocational school. One of his proudest accomplishments was being accepted to Morehead State University for the Fall 2022 semester, where he would major in structural engineering.
Deegan played football at West Carter. He was a member of the 2016 EKC Championship Team. He loved working out and spending time with his friends. Deegan was an avid gamer and loved playing his PlayStation. His love for music included Black by Pearl Jam, Santeria, and Kryptonite by Three Doors Down. He was a UK Wildcat fan. Deegan loved being with family and spending quality time with his siblings and cousins.
Deegan’s scholarship is founded to honor his memory to help provide students support and better opportunities to pursue career paths that fulfill their life purpose like Deegan had set out to do.
