Scholarship Details

This scholarship is a non-renewable scholarship for the amount of $1,000. This amount will be dispensed in two equal payments of $500 per semester to your institution.

One $1,500 scholarship in honor of Deegan Beane will be awarded. This amount will be dispensed in two equal payments of $750 per semester to your institution.

Criteria to apply:

  1. Must be a graduating senior at West Carter High School.

  2. Must have a completed application to include copies of your transcript and ACT scores.

  3. Must have a grade point average range of 2.5–4.0 (unweighted).

  4. Must have a minimum ACT composite score of 18.

  5. Must provide two letters of reference:
     a. One letter from school personnel
     b. One letter from a community member

  6. Must be available to do an interview if requested.

  7. Must provide proof of college/vocational school enrollment when asked.
