Melissa began her career as a Bridal Consultant while working in Richmond, Virginia. Her vast experience in the Bridal & Formalwear Industry includes working as both a Consultant & Buyer for several prestigious Bridal Shoppes on the East Coast & Midwest. Fashion Markets from Atlanta, Chicago to New York, NY. She has been recognized by her colleagues for her attention to detail & eye for design.

Melissa has served both President Todd & President Capilouto as the assistant to the event director. Managing social calendars & events hosted at Maxwell Place (home of the President).

Melissa is the owner of Soirée Blue, a Full-Service Wedding Design & Event Management group located in the heart of Lexington, Kentucky. Melissa has a reputation for creating beautiful-flawless events. Her work has been published both locally & nationally. She has detailed some of life’s most anticipated occasions for over 25 years. Her personal integrity, sincere dedication, passion for celebrating life and her commitment to the Wedding & Event Industry is respected among colleagues. Melissa is known for her warm & bubbly personality and calm demeanor which assures each client to relax and have confidence as she directs their special day.  These qualities along with Melissa’s professional career background have made Soiree Blue the top choice for creating the perfect atmosphere for you and your guest.

Melissa is the Founder & Curator of Simply Smitten of Lexington and the creative force behind the Smitten Collection. SSL is a styled event providing a breathtaking experience for those who enjoy the art of entertaining… fine culinary & floral creations, table scapes, etc.

Melissa is also the producer of Social Shindig- an activity for hospitality professionals.
